IoT solution for smart lighting & air-conditioning

Creating a comfortable indoor environment is essential in both workplaces and campuses. Smart office design with appropriate temperatures and lighting can enhance employees’ productivity and well-being. Similarly, a comfortable and ventilated campus environment with controlled indoor air quality is crucial to ensuring students’ performance.

A smart lighting and air-conditioning automation solution can help to build an intelligent workplace and campus that enhances energy efficiency and optimises resource utilisation. The solution enables users to automate indoor devices from lighting to air-conditioning and visualise environment data via one digital platform with interactive dashboards.

How does it work?

How does it work?

Smart Sensor Automation (SSA), is an all-in-one tool developed by Smart Energy Connect for building an ideal smart workplace and smart campus. SSA is equipped with various intelligent sensors, such as temperature and humidity sensors, door and motion sensors, and occupancy sensors. It leverages the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing technology to give users access to granular environment data that was previously unavailable.

By integrating internal environment data collected by the smart sensors, SSA combines them with the data gathered from external environment, then adjusts indoor lighting and air-conditioning to optimise energy usage and create a comfortable working and learning environment for employees, teachers, and students.

Features

The energy consumption dashboard allows you to keep track of energy consumption data over time and provides a granular level of energy consumption analysis.

Adjust indoor lighting and air-conditioning to optimise energy usage and maximise indoor comfort by detecting indoor luminance levels, motion sensor readings, and indoor air temperature.

The IAQ dashboard displays the latest IAQ score and presents air quality readings over time. Users can take follow-up actions to enhance air quality when required.

Easy-to-use dashboards give users visibility into energy consumption, equipment status, space utilisation, and occupant comfort conditions. By comparing data over different periods (daily, weekly and monthly), zones and devices, you can easily identify peak usage hours and compare usage trends, thus quantifying cost savings and improving energy management strategies.

Automatically adjust settings based on rules defined by users. For instance, users can dim lights, open curtains, and turn on a projector during presentation at the touch of a button after setting ‘presentation scenario’.
